NL #5 x Big Bud #1 AUTO gained its auto-flowering properties from a Canadian ruderalis strain. In order to perfect its auto-flowering consistency it was back-crossed a couple of times thus achieving the stability necessary for growers. It has 85% Afghani indica genetics and is a good resin producer.
This automatic plant is a very good producer indoors where yields of between 450 - 600 gr/m2 is possible within 12 weeks of germination. Outdoors plants will produce around 55 - 80 gr/plant. Flowering starts at approximately 25 days or so with plants stretching quite a bit at first. Resin production is very good and even covers medium-sized leaves.
THC production is better than for many auto strains and levels of 18% are the norm. CBD on the other hand is extremely low at just 0.06%. Auto-flowering plants such as this one will flower independently of any reduction in the hours of light that they receive per day. Therefore it's possible to keep the lights on continually and they will still flower although there is no advantage in doing so for more than 18 - 20 hours per day. Less than this amount will reduce yields however.
