Sour Diesel was originally created as a cross between an Original Diesel and a strain known as DNL. It displays a structure that is typically sativa yet the effects are very indica-dominant. It possesses the characteristic diesel smell.
Sour Diesel is a 50/50 indica/sativa hybrid strain which grows to a height of 100 - 120 cm. with vigorous lateral growth such that the branches will need to be supported to prevent the heavy buds from snapping the stems. Indoor growers will be able to harvest their plants after 9 weeks flowering with yields in the neighbourhood of 400 - 450 gr/m2. Outdoors its cultivation is restricted to regions with good late autumn weather as it will not be finished until November in the northern hemisphere producing 500 - 550 gr/m2.
The aroma is very distinctive and is likened to spices and hazelnuts. The taste is very fuel-like with an earthy undertone. THC production is at 14.06% with 0.1% CBD.
